In this issue of Insight HPV, we review several case studies that illustrate the appropriate application of HPV DNA testing, new screening recommendations, and the identification of vaginal lesions.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss with patients the appropriate use of the human papillomavirus (HPV) DNA test as a diagnostic tool
  • Identify and assess vaginal lesions
  • Evaluate current guidelines and recommendations about Papanicolaou (Pap) screening, particularly in regards to frequency of screening
